Administrative Coordinator School of Agriculture & Aviation
Morningside University is accepting applications for a full-time administrative coordinator who will be providing general office responsibilities assisting the Dean and Department heads in various tasks related to the organization and management of the School of Agriculture & Aviation.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a receptionist and resource for the School of Agriculture & Aviation
- Provide general office duties including typing correspondence, answering phones, administrative memos, photocopying, delivering mail as well as other day-to-day responsibilities
- Preparing departmental reports (assessment, recruitment, experiential learning, grants, vehicle)
- Organizing and scheduling meetings
- Preparing the school and departmental meeting agendas, handouts, and minutes
- Assist the Externship Coordinator/Admissions Office with coordinating prospective student recruitment visits
- Manage the prospective student database
- Maintain the department internship and externship database
- Assist with Externship contract and reporting management system (Google docs, forms, sheets, and Form Publisher)
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to include management of the school and departmental webpages and social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
- Assist faculty and staff with setting up industry tours and managing company profiles
- Assist faculty and staff in the management of a work study student each semester
- Coordinate the scheduling of summer student interns
- Provide support for conference registration, purchasing, fund raising, or other activities implemented by student clubs in the school in collaboration with the appropriate faculty adviser
- Coordinate newsletter development
- Assist with the planning of school or departmental travel for faculty, staff, and student groups

- Excellent administrative skills
- Strong computer skills and word processing skills
- Ability to work with students and all employees
- Professional written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Dependability and confidentiality
- Sound decisioning making skills and willing to take the initiative
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
